MARCH 2020 UPDATE
The following information was not available at the time of
publication of our March e-news hence this update which
we hope you will find helpful.
Jacquie Grieve
Jacquie’s funeral was very well attended with a large
multi-faith presence on Monday. We have been delighted to have received
so many tributes to Jacquie which we will be compiling and pass to her
family. We also hope to arrange a commemorative event later in the year.

We are delighted that the council plan to recognise Jacquie’s immeasurable
contribution to the borough by having a minute’s silence at their full council
meeting.

The East London Three Faiths Forum invite you to their next

4th June – 7.30-9.00 pm Suicide Prevention
Overview Training
Redbridge Faith Forum are pleased to be able to host PAPYRUS
, a dedicated national charity, to run a training workshop specifically for
faith groups addressing the important and sensitive issue of suicide prevention
amongst young people. Sadly in the UK suicide is the leading cause of
death in anyone under the age of 35.
The focus of this 90 minute training is on what EVERYONE
needs to know (whether faith leader, teacher, parent, volunteer or just a
general interest), this training benefits all within the community. The
venue is the Sukkat Shalom Reform Synagogue, 3 Victory Road, Wanstead London
E11 1UL.

Covid 19 – helping people deal with stress and anxiety
The Inter-Agency Standing Committee has produced a
comprehensive briefing guide addressing mental health during this outbreak. It
contains helpful advice on how people can maintain mental wellbeing and in
particular guidance on assisting children and older people to deal with
anxiety as well as suggested activities that can be undertaken whilst

Tennis for All
We have been contacted by the national charity “Sporting
Equals” who are funded to work within London offering the opportunity to
transfer lives by giving people the opportunity to engage in tennis activities.
