RFF Statement on the Manchester Terrorist Atrocity

Standing together with Manchester

Trustees, members and friends of Redbridge Faith Forum were terribly shocked and saddened by the devastating attack in Manchester last week.  We of many faiths and none condemn this cowardly attack on innocent civilians.  All our religions exalt the sanctity of human life and there is no justification for such an atrocity.  Redbridge Faith Forum commends the great resilience and the bravery of the people of Manchester who have pulled together during this difficult time and the swift response of the emergency services.

Terrorism has no place in our society.  In Redbridge we have an exceptionally diverse community, and we will continue standing together strong and united. We will not tolerate hate and division; the actions of those who seek to spread hatred within our community will not succeed. Redbridge Faith Forum will continue its work to promote respect, co-operation and understanding in the borough with the support of people of all faiths and those of none

Redbridge Faith Forum calls for the people of Redbridge to stand together at this difficult time and to continue to be vigilant to work together for peace, compassion, understanding and hope.
